Beverly hails from Tucson, Arizona, and is the KidZ at Heart Vice President of Training Resources. Her role is to develop vision and strategy and set goals to strengthen the impact of KidZ at Heart’s training programs globally and to develop and maintain evaluation criteria to assess the effectiveness of KidZ at Heart’s training materials.

After graduating from the University of Arizona with a BA in English, Beverly worked for schools, churches, publishing companies, and a children’s museum in the roles of teacher, writer, curriculum developer, program director, and even a museum docent. In addition to this experience, she brings to KidZ at Heart a passion for children to know and love Jesus Christ and build a deep and personal relationship with Him.

When Founder and President Gordon West was Children & Family Ministries pastor for a local church, Beverly was his assistant, so she has known KidZ at Heart and has been involved as a volunteer from the beginning. She came on staff officially in the fall of 2022.

Beverly grew up in Air Force Protestant churches and, after a four-month conversation with another young mom she met in a laundromat, came to know Jesus when she was 25. Along with hosting a small home church group, Beverly and her husband Steve attend Calvary Chapel Tucson.

Between them, Beverly and Steve are blessed with three married sons, their amazing wives, and six of the most incredible grandchildren ever!

Beverly loves training and equipping people to work with children and is excited about the vast potential to come alongside teachers, parents, grandparents, and others who are involved in the lives of children, to provide tools and resources to help make their God-given roles fruitful and fulfilling.
